The Joy of Spam-Free Comments
I am so happy that I was able to install the reCAPTCHA plugin on all the journals...
It took a lot of brain strain to figure out why my changes to the comment listing was not working, only to find out that I was looking at the wrong page. Apparently the comment listing you see when you click into an entry is on the individual archive page. Duh.
Ever since the first journal was set up with the reCAPTCHA plugin, there have been no comments marked as Junk. You have no idea how happy this makes me. I am sure some junk may eventually filter in, but it pleases me to know that the punk will have to manually do it. Booyah.
Much love is needed still on these journals. You may have seen this journal go through some identity crisis over the past few days, but hopefully I'll find a theme I like enough to hold on to long enough. So much I want to do with this page, but time is limited.
So, if you have time, leave a comment on any of the four journals and let me know what you think of the comment process. I think typing in two extra words is nothing, and completely worth it. Some ironing out to do still regarding the authentication piece (boy, did typekey give me a fit!), but for now, it's all good!
Oh, by the way, I need to add this to the comment form, but I think that if you plan on previewing your comment prior to posting it, there's no need to enter in the verification words, since it will ask you again when you try to post after the preview. Just FYI...
