Thanksgiving Catch-up
Happy Thanksgiving... a little late. This holiday weekend so far has been about food, shopping, relaxing, and catching up on tv and movies.
This Thanksgiving was the most low-key Thanksgiving I've ever had when preparing food (the ones spent in Fort Myers or the Keys doesn't count since it was restaurant food). Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and gravy. Oh. And the best pumpkin pie I've ever made! I switched it up and made a graham cracker crust. And, I didn't have evaporated milk (mine was 2 months past expiration date) so I used cream instead. Yum-o.
Talked to sis for a little while. Watched some football. Peyton seemed almost back to normal, except he didn't hit 300 yds. I didn't start him this week. Yikes. That was a big gamble, and I'll find out tomorrow if it paid off when my two other qbs go head to head. Way to go, Warriors! We watched the game and cheered and booed in the appropriate places. My eyes didn't feel like staying open for the whole thing, and Bill woke me up when it was over.
Looked at a lot of deals online, and actually went out shopping on Friday and Saturday. I wasn't crazy enough to go out in the early a.m. like some people (sis), and I probably never will. We left late in the afternoon. We didn't buy much, but got some shopping done.
