Pumpkin Patch!
This year we finally made it to the pumpkin patch. I almost missed it since I was dead-sick on Friday w/some flu like symptoms (not swiney, thank you). It really wiped me out for most of the day, with a razor-sharp sore throat, chills, major body aches and just being so exhausted. I was wrapped in long sleeved clothes and a fleece blanket for most of the day. By the next morning, it was mostly gone except for the super sore throat-- the kind that feels like you're swallowing pieces of glass. Yuck. Tonite I have a cough so I am constantly sucking on cough drops and my throat still hurts a lot.
Back to the pumpkin patch, here's our finds for the day...

If you plan on going to the patch and take the hay ride, don't sit in the cart right by the large tractor wheels unless you want to be bathed in dust and dirt.
Ah, well. Furlough vote tomorrow.
My mood: annoyed that I am still sick, but not sick enough to miss work.
