Kinder KAMP

So today was Little One's first day (sort-of) day of school. Well, it was Kinder KAMP. Basically a 3-hour orientation. I won't bore anyone w/details.

Me: Are you nervous about school?
LO: No.
Me: Do you know what nervous means?
LO: No. What does it mean?
Me: It means that you're mostly excited, but you're a little bit scared too.
LO: Oh. Mommy?
Me: Yes?
LO: I'm nervous.

The best part about it was my buddy, Darren was the MC. Two other parents there were classmates from the same elementary school. Gloria and I were really good friends early in life and were in the same kindergarten classroom. Our kids are now in the same class, although she has a girl and my boy thinks that girls are Decepticons. Pretty sure she's not gonna be hanging out w/him!

My mood: warm (just drank some hot tea) and happy and not worrying too much about Hurricane Felicia.
