Conversation today between me & Little One:
LO: Mom, you remember yesternight when I was watching t.v.?
Me: You mean "last night"
LO: No, I mean "yesternight"
Me: Sweetie, you mean "last night" there's no such thing as "yesternight"
LO: [imagine exaggerated sigh accompanied by major eye-rolling and attitude] Uh, you know, YESTERDAY is yester-DAY and YESTERNIGHT is yester-night????
All I can do is laugh, because I don't even know how to explain that one... I just tell him that people don't say yesternight, they say last night instead.
My mood: constantly amused and sometimes wishing for a 4-year-old who acted like a 4-year-old (or is there even such a thing?)
