Lambert vs. Allen
Watched the season finale of American Idol tonite. It was crazy, like waiting to see if a black man would become President! I expected to totally breeze through the whole thing (thanks to media player), but I ended up watching the whole thing. It was like I'd just had the best dessert ever and was licking the bowl clean. I wanted every minute of it. You can tell how long they've come since the beginning. Now you have great performers like Kiss, Santana, Cyndi Lauper, and Rod Stewart gracing the stage of AI.
As for the winner, I can say that I was pretty shocked too. I so expected the other one to win, but after reading the various blogs, I guess I can see how the votes landed. I was pretty much undecided, because I loved to watch both of them.
Sigh. Now what the heck am I supposed to watch until next January???!
