Maui
Had a 3-day mini-vacation to Maui w/Trini & kids & KK. It was loads of fun, sort of.
Our theme was bakeries. So we planned to hit one bakery every day. We got to Komoda Bakery in Makawao and 3 bakeries in Kahului: Broke da Mouth, Home Made Bakery, and Krispy Kreme. I am safe to say that I don't need to eat pasteries for a really long time. The best glazed donut (cause I tried one at all of them --except BDM) was at Komoda's.
On Sunday, Connor got sick. He was throwing up and not holding anything down. Sucked for me because I was the mom in the second row of the car w/the sick child next to me. So I was the vomit catcher by default. Not a coveted job, BTW. Fortunately, Trini was able to get some albuterol through Longs and a refund on the whale watching tour (I'm guessing that the woman behind the counter is a mom, so she knows that kids get sick unexpectedly and ignored the 48-hour cancellation=no refund rule).
Needless to say, despite our little mishaps and too many wrong turns, we had a wonderful time.
