Lazy days and no haze...
or Woohoos Aplenty or Weekend Update.
Saturday:
- No more regurgitation (for C-Man). Yeah!
- My bookstore buying is OVER! I completed my Barnes & Noble $2500 purchase order in 2 days baby!
- Got some great deals from the Scholastic warehouse sale. $39 for 39 items. Most were popular fic that will get trashed within a year anyway. What can I say? I love a great bargain.
- Of course, after spending all that money, I went to Costco and found myself browsing the books yet again... I was a good girl and only bought what I needed. Yeah.
- Watched Alvin & the chipmunks (not my choice). It was horrid, but C-Man enjoyed the singing.
Sunday:
- The beautiful skies are back again. I can see the Koolaus and it does not feel like L.A. I can breathe and I don't feel like I'm losing days off my life.
- Lunch at the Golden Arches. Felt like a dessert and I couldn't decide between the cookie and the hot fudge sundae. Musson says why decide, just have both. What a great idea, why didn't I think of that? We all had both and it was great.
- C-Man made it to the top of the play structure on his own and back down again--- on his own (no help from me, no whining about being stuck, no crying)!!! Woohoo. My baby's growing up.
- Spent a warm lazy afternoon watching kiddies slide into pool while listening to oldies music (1980's!) with my bestest buds (minus KK).
- Went on Amazon.com and bought a 20th anniversary Transformers -the movie DVD for C-Man. He's soooo into Transformers that when I took him to the bookstore with me (I know, I love books, what can I say?) he chose to buy Warman's Transformers field guide : values and identification. Too bad Bro never kept his old Transformer toys. They're worth a bunch now. For example a mint in sealed box Optimus Prime or Megatron 1984, series 1 toy is valued at $275 apiece. Who would have such a toy? Musson's brothers. You would think that my ex would have a similar toy collection, alas he was not into Transformers otherwise C-Man would be in heaven. Should get him interested in comic books, then he'd be a happy camper. Of course, now he's driving me batty asking me who each one is and whether they're an Autobot or Decepticon. Goofy kid.
My mood: happy and looking forward to next weekend
