Degeneration of self

The other day, I went to a makeover and expected a makeover. Instead, a beautiful Japanese woman told me that my skin was dry and sagging. I then invested a hefty sum of money in a skin care system that is supposed to perform miracles that my own daily skin care regime cannot do. The little boxes that bring the promise of eternal youth sits on my floor unopened. I can't bring myself to open them. I don't know why. Maybe this weekend.

Tonight I am tired. I was sudokuing while Blues Clues was playing and actually fell asleep face down on the couch for about 20 minutes. When C-Man woke me up, I was drooling (sexy, I know). I think that's a good sign. I'm going to try to go to bed soon and hope that I can stay asleep. Falling asleep is usually not the problem. It's waking up and not being able to get back to sleep. I think the exercise is helping. I bought a box of Tazo "calm" tea with chamomile. I didn't think I'd like it, because it has rose and peppermint, but it's growing on me. Next chance I get, I might go to Down to Earth for the melatonin (suggested by both therapist and sis), however I am wary because pregnant and nursing women are not recommended to take it (I am not pregnant! or nursing). The worry comes from my fear of taking drugs. Of course, pregnant women are not supposed to take Advil and I've been downing it like candy lately.

I think I just need to find out where this body came from and trade it in for a new model. Preferably one that's taller, has great metabolism, loves to exercise, and is not sagging in any way...

Oh, yesterday I jogged/walked the wall on the marsh. I think I could run the whole length if I was by myself. I couldn't test it because I had to push a stroller w/child and slow down frequently so that DJ could catch up with me (he was biking it). On the way back, I ended up pushing both stroller and bike. It was hot (around noonish) and I was tired. I am now itchy from the sun (should have used more sunscreen). Been wondering how long the wall is and according to the DLNR website it's 6850-feet long (1.3 miles) each way, so I should definitely be able to run at least one way.

My mood: sleepy and therefore - happy
